His debut role was in the 2008 film Sorry Bhai! But his role in it was minor. This was followed by Mahesh Jadu’s appearances in the TV series Neighbours (2010-2011) as Dr. Doug Harris, Better Man (2013), the films Taj (2011), The Three Ages of Sasha (2012), I, Frankenstein (2014), and short film Magnetism (2013).

Finally, Mahesh Jadu was cast as Ahmad in the TV series Marco Polo. His character had one of the main roles in the show and is considered his breakthrough role. He portrayed the character from 2014 to 2016. Since then he has starred in the films Three Summers (2017), The Furnace (2020), and short films Submit Tweet (2019), and Emerald Way (2020).
Jadu has been playing Vilgefortz in the TV series The Witcher since season one. He reprised his role in the Polish-American fantasy drama series.
