Marisa Abela was born on 7 December 1996 in Brighton, East Sussex, England. Her full name is Marisa Gabrielle Abela. Her mother Caroline Gruber is an actress while her father Angelo Abela works as a television director. Her parents raised her Rottingdean alongside her older sibling- a brother named Jack Abela.

Finally, Marisa Abela was cast as Ellie Sutherland in the TV series Cobra. She portrayed the character for a total of 6 episodes and this is her breakthrough role.
