Who is Max Scherzer?
Max Scherzer is a baseball player by profession and American by nationality. He is currently the pitcher for the Washington Nationals of Major League Baseball (MLB).

Max Scherzer’s birth took place on July 27, 1984, in Chesterfield, Missouri, USA. He was born Maxwell M. Scherzer to his mother Jan Scherzer and his father Brad Scherzer. He is not the only child of his parents and has a sibling- younger brother Alex Scherzer, who died by suicide in 2012.

For education, he attended Parkway Central High School and after graduation in 2003 enrolled at the University of Missouri. Scherzer has heterochromia iridium his right eye is blue and his left eye is brown.

Max Scherzer met Erica May at the University of Missouri and started dating. Both were baseball pitchers there but May’s heart condition prevented her from playing. He and his longtime girlfriend married on 23 November 2013.
He and his wife welcomed daughters Brooklyn May-Scherzer in November 2017 and Kacey Hart May-Scherzer on July 4, 2019. The couple is raising their daughter without rumors of divorce or extra-marital affairs.
Erica is an activist, and human rights advocate, having worked with multiple non-profit organizations. Moreover, both Max and Amy are passionate about animal rescue and rehabilitation.

Max Scherzer – Career
Early career
Scherzer grew up as a St. Louis Cardinals fan. He played baseball, football, and basketball in high school. He was even selected in the 2003 Major League Baseball (MLB) draft in the 43rd round (1,291st overall) by St. Louis Cardinals. But he declined the offer and joined the University of Missouri.

With Teams
In 2006 he was chosen in the first round and 11th overall in the 2006 MLB draft by Arizona Diamondbacks. He played for the team until the 2009 season. On December 9, 2009, Max Scherzer was traded to Detroit Tigers and played with them until 2014. In 2013 he won the 2013 AL Cy Young Award after a successful season.
On January 21, 2015, Scherzer signed a 7-year, $210 million including a $50 million signing bonus contract with Washington Nationals. He won his second Cy Young Award in 2016 and the third one in 2017.
