Early Days

Hope began his career as an actor at a young age, his debut screen role being in the 2006 short film Earth's Last Remnants as Amir. He also acted in plays at the local youth theater and shot short films with his brothers.

He resumed his career in 2012 with the short films Yes Mum as Jonno And Down the Way as Ryan. In 2015, he was cast as young Tim in the TV mini-series Never Tear Us Apart: The Untold Story of INXS.

Finally, in 2015, Mitchell Hope was cast as Ben in Disney’s TV movie Descendants. For his movie, he moved to Los Angeles, USA, which is considered his breakthrough role.

Since then, Mitchell Hope has reprised the role of Ben/King Ben in the TV series Descendants: Wicked World (2015-2017), the TV mini-series Mal and Ben's Royal Wedding (2020), and the movies Descendants 2 (2017), Descendants 3 (2019). He also voiced Ben in the 2021 TV special short Descendants: The Royal Wedding and appeared in the music video for the single It’s Going Down (2017).
