Who is Natalie Allen?

Natalie Allen is a CNN correspondent, News anchor, a journalist by profession, and an American by nationality.

Natalie Allen’s birth took place on 11^th August 1962 in Memphis, Tennessee, USA.  Allen has managed to keep her family background away from prying eyes. 

Thus there is limited information available on her parents, siblings, and childhood except that her father’s name is Lawrence Allen and her mother's name was Betty. Allen is not the only child of her parents and has a sibling- a sister named Susan Davis.

Education, Ethnicity

For education, in 1979 she attended the University of Southern Mississippi and graduated from the same with a degree in radio, Television, and film in 1983. She then attended the University of Memphis in 1986 and graduated with a master’s degree in Political science in 1988.

Her ethnicity is not known.

Natalie Allen – Boyfriend, Husband, Children, Divorce

Natalie Allen was a married woman. Her husband’s name was Fedrick Wright and the two had wed in May 1997. She has a son named Nicholas Starr Wright (born in December 1998). Nicholas Starr Wright, who uses the name Nicholas Allen is now a model.

Nicholas might be her only child and may not have a daughter. She uploaded the picture below on Instagram with the caption "My son and his beautiful sister" but did not mention her as a daughter.

As of 2019, Natalie Allen seems to have divorced her husband. 

In October 2019 she announced her engagement to Jeff Rosensweig, whom she had interviewed 20 years ago. The pair married on April 25, 2021.

Natalie Allen – Career

Starting her career at WREG in her hometown, Natalie Allen has been in broadcast journalism for more than 25 years. She has worked for NBC News, WFTV’s Daybreak, The Weather Channel’s Forecast Earth, ESPN (1992-2001), and MSNBC before finally joining CNN. 

Allen currently anchors CNN Newsroom Thursday through Sunday and has anchored The Newsroom (2012), and CNN NewsCenter (2012).

Over the years, Natalie Allen has covered stories on CNNI  such as Syria's ongoing civil war, unrest in Ukraine, the death of Nelson Mandela, Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines, the Oklahoma City bombing, the O.J. Simpson murder trial, death of both Princess Diana and Mother Teresa.
