Naveen Andrews is an actor by profession and British, American by nationality. He is known for starring in the TV series Lost, The Dropout, and films Mighty Joe Young, Diana, and The Brave One.

Naveen Andrews was born on 17 January 1969 in Lambeth, Greater London, England as Naveen William Sidney Andrews. His father Stanley Andrews was a Malayali Nasrani immigrant who first worked as a businessman and later at a railway station.
His mother Nirmala Andrews was from Kerala, India, and had a degree in psychology but had to work at a Post Office as she had immigrated to the UK in the 1960s. Although his parents raised him alongside his younger brother Sunil Andrews, the family was not close mostly due to the cultural and generation gap between them.

For education, Naveen Andrews attended Emanuel School where he was bullied because of his background. He later went to Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

Naveen Andrews began dating his mathematics teacher Geraldine Feakins when he was 16 years old and she was 30 years old. Feakins was married to a man named Norman when their affair began. They were in a romantic relationship from 1985 to 1991 and welcomed son Jaisal in 1992. He and his girlfriend never married and this relationship caused him to be shunned by his family. He and his parents, who passed away in the 1990s never reconciled.
In 1998, he started dating American actress Barbara Hershey but separated briefly in 2005. During their time apart, he and Czech-French actress Elena Eustache conceived a child- their son Joshua was born in 2006. Although Andrews and Hershey reconciled, they separated for the final time in 2010.
After a long custody battle with Eustache, he was granted sole legal and physical custody of their son on 7 January 2009.

Early Days
Andrews began his career in the early 1990s. His debut screen role was in the film London Kills Me (1991) and was followed by appearances in the film Wild West (1992), TV movies Double Vision (1992), The Peacock Spring (1996), and TV Mini-Series (1993) as Karim Amir.
His breakthrough came in the year 1996 films Kama Sutra: A Tale of Love and The English Patient. His role as Raj Singh in Kama Sutra gained him attention among the Indian population while his role in The English Patient as Kip opened him a pathway to new as well as diverse film roles.
