Who is Nick Martin?

Nick Martin is a musician (guitarist) by profession and American by nationality. He is well known as a member of the rock band Sleeping with Sirens and a former member of the band Underminded.

Nick Martin’s birth took place on December 10, 1982, in San Diego, California, USA. His full name is Nicholas Anthony Martin. He is the only child of his parents and does not have any siblings. His mother is a cancer survivor and his father influenced him to become a musician.

His other famous family members include Vic and Mike Fuentes from the band Pierce The Veil, who are his cousins.

Early Days

Martin, then in the 8th grade, started his first, and after he was inspired by bands such as Blink-182, Swindle, & Carter Peace Mission. He went on to form the rock band Underminded in 1999 with fellow classmate Matt Johnson. With the band, which was initially a pop-punk band, Nick Martin self-released their first EP- The Task of the Modern Educator in 2003. 

The next year, they were signed to Kung Fu Records. Their debut studio album Hail Unamerican was released in 2004 followed by the release of the second album Eleven: Eleven in 2007 through Uprising Records.

Sleeping with Sirens

In late 2010 Nick Martin formed the post-hardcore supergroup D.R.U.G.S. They released their studio album Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows in 2011 but eventually disbanded in August 2012. 

In 2013 Martin replaced Jesse Lawson as the rhythm guitarist and backing vocals of the rock band Sleeping with Sirens. He became a  permanent member in 2014. As a member of the band, he has released studio albums Madness (2015), Gossip (2017), and How It Feels to Be Lost (2019). Their live album Live and Unplugged was released in April 2016.

He is also the co-owner of the management company Citadel Artists. It manages bands including Underminded and Misdelphia.

Martin has worked with other bands Cinematic Sunrise, Pierce the Veil, Isles & Glaciers, In Fear, and Faith.
