Oona Chaplin is an actress by profession Spanish, British by nationality. She is well known for starring in the TV series Game of Thrones, The Crimson Field, Tabo, and in the film The Longest Ride, Avatar: The Way of Water. She is the granddaughter of Charlie Chaplin and his fourth wife Oona O'Neill.

Oona Chaplin’s birth took place on 4 June 1986 in Madrid, Spain as Oona Castilla Chaplin. Her mother is English-American actress Geraldine Chaplin and her father is Chilean cinematographer Patricio Castilla. She might be the only child of her parents but has a half-brother named Shane Chaplin Saura from her mother’s first marriage to film director Carlos Saura.
Most of her family are in Hollywood and have many famous personalities. Her maternal grandparents are English filmmaker and actor Charlie Chaplin and American actress Oona O'Neill. Her great-grandmother is Eugene O'Neill and her paternal grandmother is Mapuche.
Chaplin was raised in Spain, the UK, Cuba, and Switzerland while also traveling with her mother for film projects.

Finally, she was cast as Talisa Stark / Talisa Maegyr in the episodes of the TV series Game of Thrones (2012-2013). She portrayed the characters for a total of 11 episodes which is considered her breakthrough role.
