Paul Teutul Sr. was born on May 1, 1949, as Paul John Teutul. He was born in Yonkers, New York, United States to his mother Mary Teutul, and his father Paul John Teutul Sr. and was raised in Pearl River, New York. However, there are no facts about his parents, family, childhood, and siblings.

Paul Teutul Sr. was married to Paula Teutul. The date of their marriage has not been shared. But we do know that together they have four children- sons Paul Teutul Jr. (born 1974), Daniel Teutul (born 1977), Michael Teutul (born November 26, 1978), and daughter Kristin Teutul.
After divorcing Teutal, he married his American Chopper: The Series co-star Beth Dillon on 29 July 2007. The wedding was held at their home in Montgomery, New York, and attended by 130 guests. The wedding was aired in a season of the series. The pair separated and divorced in 2015.
Currently, Teutul is married to a woman named Joannie "Joan" Bulger Kay. It is unclear when the two tied the knot, but it has been confirmed that they have been together since 2013.
Paul Teutul Sr. – Relationship with son
His relationship with his son Paul Teutul Jr. was strained in 2009. Paul Teutul Sr. had fired Paul Teutul Jr. from Orange County Choppers in a 2009 episode of American Chopper. Paul Teutul Jr. went on to launch his own show Paul Jr. Designs while his father’s company flourished.
Over the years the pair has been embroiled in numerous brawls with Paul Teutul Jr. calling his father “somewhat of a monster.” They even have sued each other on numerous occasions.

After 10 years, in May 2018, it was reported that the father-son have called a truce and will appear together on American Chopper. Speaking of his relationship with his son, he said in a 2018 interview with the New York Post,
“I think [my relationship with Junior] is really important and I think what destroyed our relationship was working together, and I don’t ever want to be in that position again. We have different businesses and we’re both doing very well — he’s building cool bikes, I’m building cool bikes. We go to dinner we do family things; I think we’re closer now than we’ve ever been. The bottom line is we just cannot work together.”
Paul Teutul Sr. – Career
Paul Teutul Sr. was a member of the United States Merchant Marines during the Vietnam War. But he never served in the United States military during the war. However, it is not clear how long he worked at the Merchant Marines.
In an interview with CNBC, he shared his experience,
“I was in the steel business for 26 years and I always had a passion for motorcycles, I was just too busy with my business to do it and at some point the business was running itself and I was able to take some time off. In the early ‘70s I was involved with bikes and it gave me the opportunity to get involved in really building bikes.”
Initially, Teutul began his own business with a fabrication shop, Orange County Ironworks. Soon the company began building custom bikes, taking inspiration from bikes riding on the streets and in films. The bikes and the company were a massive success. Now, Orange County Ironworks is managed by his son Daniel Teutul.

In 1999 he left Orange County Ironworks. With the help of his other son Paul Teutul Jr., he founded Orange County Chopper and began building bikes and selling them. He was featured in the reality show American Chopper: The Series soon after.
In addition to being a bike enthusiast, businessman, and Reality TV star, he is also an author. His book The Ride of a Lifetime was published in 2009. Paul Teutul Sr.’s previous book co-written with Paul Teutul Jr., Michael Teutul, Keith Zimmerman, and Kent Zimmerman, titled Orange County Choppers: The Tale of the Teutuls was released in 2006.
Also, he has been seen in movies including Wild Hogs (2007) and My Name Is Earl (2005), to name a few.

Over the past decade, there have been numerous rumors of him dying of cancer or in a motorcycle accident. There have even been rumors of his funeral!
