Pääru Oja is an actor by profession and Estonian by nationality. He is the son of actor Tõnu Oja and nephew of Rein Oja and is best known for starring in the series Vikings: Valhalla, Cold Courage.

He has another famous personality in his family- his uncle is actor Rein Oja and his sister-in-law is actress Ursula Ratasepp.

There, Oja worked in over a dozen stage roles including in the plays Seven Brothers (2012), A Moon for the Misbegotten (2012) Orphans (2013), Lurich (2014), The Brothers Karamazov (2015), Mäed (2016) Ivanov (2017), among others.

Pääru Oja’s debut screen role was in the 2011 short film Teine pirukarööv and in the 2013 film Kid Detectives and the Secret of the White Lady. This was followed by roles in the short films House of Cards (2014), Säde (2017), etc and in the films, 1944 (2015), The Spy and the Poet (2016), Mihkel (2018), Between Covers (2018), Helene (2020), The Last Ones (2020), Christmas in the Jungle (2020), Hit Big, among others.
