Rachel Dratch’s birth took place on February 22, 1966, as Rachel Susan Dratch in Lexington, Massachusetts, USA. Her mother Elaine Ruth Dratch (née Soloway) worked as a transportation director while her father Paul Dratch is a radiologist. Both of her parents are Progressive Jews.
She has a brother named Daniel Dratch, who is now a television producer and writer. His credits include Anger Management. Both were raised in Massachusetts.
Education, Ethnicity
Speaking of education, Rachel Dratch attended Diamond Middle School and later joined Lexington High School. At first, she planned on being a therapist but changed her mind when she attended college.
She enrolled at National Theater Institute at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center in 1986 and at Dartmouth College as well. From the latter, she graduated in 1988 with a major in drama and psychology.
His ethnicity is Ashkenazi Jewish.
Rachel Dratch – Boyfriend, Husband, Children
Although most of her personal life is overshadowed by her professional life, one of her love affairs does stand out. While working on her audiobook in 2009, she met John Wahl, a Californian consultant to natural foods businesses in a bar. They soon began to date.
Six months into the relationship, she became pregnant and gave birth to a son, Eli Benjamin on August 24, 2010. In an October 2010 interview with People, she said,
“I had bought into all this stuff about, ‘Once you’re over 40…’ I’d gone through the whole process of letting go of [the idea of having kids].”
She now has moved to New York City with her boyfriend/ partner to raise their son together. As of now, the couple is in a loving relationship but has yet to get married and she is yet to take Wahl as her husband.

For four years, Rachel Dratch remained a member of the mainstage cast of The Second City comedy troupe. There she performed in Paradigm Lost, Promisekeepers, Losers Weepers alongside Adam McKay, Tina Fey, and Scott Adsit.
Before fame
Rachel Dratch finally received her big break in 1999 with Saturday Night Live (SNL). There she had recurring characters namely- Denise, Sheldon, Luvahs, Abe Scheinwald, and Debbie Downer. She had left the show in 2006, only to return in 2010. Once again she left SNL in 2011 and rejoined in 2017.
Her audiobook Girl Walks into a Bar...: Comedy Calamities, Dating Disasters, and a Midlife Miracle was released in 2012.
