Lewis started to play guitar at 13, having given up the clarinet, and eventually went on to sing after joining his brothers' band later. He eventually began to write songs, sharing his first material under the name Rhys Lewis & the Relics. This effort landed him a record deal with Decca Records.
His debut solo single Waking Up Without You was released in late 2016. This was followed by several singles such as Be Your Man, End Like This, Waking Up Without You, No Right to Love You, and Reason to Hate You, among others.
Rhys Lewis’ major-label debut EP Bad Timing was released in 2018 while his debut album Things I Chose To Remember is to be released on April 24, 2020.
Moreover, he has had the opportunity to open for pop singer James TW in Holland.
