Who is Rob Delaney?
Rob Delaney is an American actor of Catastrophe fame. Another recognized role he had was in the 2018 action-comedy Deadpool 2. In addition to acting, he is also a writer and a stand-up comedian.

Rob Delaney’s birth took place on January 19, 1977, in Boston, Massachusetts, USA as Robert Archer Delaney. He was raised in Marblehead, Massachusetts. His mother's name is Robert Delaney and his mother's name is Nancy Delaney. He was raised by his parents alongside his sibling, a sister who is now a teacher.
So far the actor has kept most of his family life private including his parents and siblings.

For education, Delaney attended Marblehead High School. After graduation, he studied at the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. In 1999, he graduated there with a degree in musical theater.

Rob Delaney – Son’s death
Delaney’s third child was named Henry. The toddler showed the symptoms of persistent vomiting and weight loss, soon after his first birthday. He was diagnosed with a brain tumor and underwent brain surgery to remove the tumor, which left the boy with 'significant physical disabilities'.
They spent 15 months at the hospital receiving treatment. In the autumn of 2017, the cancer returned. Little Henry passed away in January 2018. The mourning father broke the devastating news on Facebook in February 2018.
The couple welcomed their 'magical' fourth child, also a son in August 2018. Rob Delaney admitted that he was worried he wouldn't bond with his new baby. He later revealed that he is still grieving “all the time” and he is a “mess” and “need a lot of help.”

Rob Delaney has been active as an actor since 2003, although it took a few years to find quality roles.
Before fame
Rob Delaney starred in 2007’s Wild Girls Gone and in 2009, he landed roles in Outer Space Astronauts and Coma, Period. This was followed by roles in This Week in Comedy (2010), The Smoking Gun Presents: World's Dumbest (2011), Key and Peele (2012), and Life After Beth (2014).

Rob Delaney was already a known name in Hollywood and among comics when he landed a breakthrough role in Catastrophe in 2015. He is also the co-creator, co-writer, and the main cast of the series, another being Sharon Horgan.
Since then he has portrayed roles in Deadpool 2 (2018), and Fair and Balanced (2019) and will be voicing characters in Pokémon: Detective Pikachu, set to be released in 2019.
In 2013, Netflix released his comedy special Rob Delaney Live at the Bowery Ballroom. The actor is also a writer and writes for Vice and The Guardian. In November 2013, his book Rob Delaney: Mother. Wife. Sister. Human. Warrior. Falcon. Yardstick. Turban. Cabbage was published.
