Rory Cochrane is an actor by profession and American by nationality. He is well known for starring in Dazed and Confused as Ron Slater, Empire Records as Lucas, Argo as Lee Schatz, A Scanner Darkly as Freck, and in CSI: Miami as Tim Speedle.

Rory Cochrane’s birth took place on February 28, 1972, in Syracuse, New York, USA. He was born as Rory K. Cochrane to an Indian mother Nicki Cochrane while the identity of his Irish father is not known.

He is not the only child of his parents and has two siblings- brother Brendan and sister Siobhan. He frequently posts pictures of his niece and nephews on social media.

Cochrane began his career in the year 1990, his debut role being in an episode of the TV series H.E.L.P. This was followed by roles in the films A Kiss Before Dying (1991), and Fathers & Sons (1992). Finally, he was cast in the film Dazed and Confused (1993) as Ron Slater. This is his breakthrough role and gained him much recognition and a series of acting works.

Over the years Rory Cochrane has had recurring appearances in the TV series The Last Don (1997), The Company (2007), 24 (2009), Reprisal (2019), and a recurring character of Detective Timothy Speedle in CSI: Miami (2002-2004, 2007).

Moreover, the actor is well known for working in over two dozen films. Some are Flawless (1999), The Prime Gig (2000), A Scanner Darkly (2006), Passion Play (2010), Argo (2012), Black Mass (2015), Hostiles (2017), and Antlers (2020).
