Ryan Howard is a former baseball player by profession and American by nationality. From 2004 to 2016, he spent his career playing for Philadelphia Phillies in Major League Baseball (MLB).

Ryan Howard – Career
Before fame
The professional career of Ryan Howard began in 2001. He was selected in the fifth round of the year’s draft by the Philadelphia Phillies. The team had assigned him to the Batavia Muckdogs of the NY-Penn League.
Howard soon reached the team’s minor league system and also set the single-season home run record for the Reading Phillies. He was eventually promoted to the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Red Barons of the Class AAA International League and was named one of the best first basemen in Philadelphia Phillies History by Major League Baseball.
Teams
Howard soon made his first Major League plate appearance on September 1, 2004. That year, he had 42 plate appearances in 19 games with the Philadelphia Phillies. In 2005, he was named National League Rookie of the Year, having played against Cincinnati Reds, Braves, and San Francisco Giants.
His winning streak continued with the team for the next 10 years, until Phillies manager Pete Mackanin announced his plans to let rookie Joseph play and keep Howard on the bench. In November 2016, Ryan Howard became a free agent.

On April 6, 2017, he signed with Atlanta Braves on a minor-league contract and was soon assigned to the Gwinnett Braves but was soon released on May 8. On August 12, 2017, signed a contract with Colorado Rockies but became a free agent on November 6, 2017.
Finally, on September 4, 2018, he announced his retirement. In February 2019, ESPN hired Howard as an MBL analyst. It was announced on April 15, 2019, that Ryan Howard will be the voice on the national broadcast of the game of Phillis against the New York Mets.
He officially retired from baseball on July 14, 2019. He has also appeared in TV series The Office, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, etc.
