Who is Sabrina Dhowre?

Sabrina Dhowre is a model by profession and American by nationality. She gained fame after winning 2014’s Miss Vancouver crown.

Sabrina Dhowre’s birth took place on June 16, 1988, in New York, USA. There have been conflicting reports about her place of birth. Some sources have reported that she was actually born in Montreal, Canada. Her mother’s name is said to be Maryam Egal and Dhowre has a sibling, an older sister.

Aside from these facts, not much is known about her parents, family, childhood, and siblings.

For education, she attended Howard University where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature. 

 However, it is known that she has Somali roots/ethnicity.

Dhowre met his longtime boyfriend Idris Elba in Canada while Elba was there shooting The Mountain Between Us. The couple was first spotted getting cozy in Manchester in August 2017. But there were reports that they had actually started dating in March 2017.

On February 10, 2018, Sabrina Dhowre got engaged on the stage of Rio Cinema in Dalston, London during the screening of his film Yardie.

On April 26, 2019, it was reported that the couple had married in Marrakesh, Morocco in a lavish three-day wedding ceremony.

Sabrina Dhowre’s husband has been married twice and divorced twice before. He was married to Hanne Norgaard from 1999 to 2003 and to Sonya Nicole Hamlin for four months in 2006.

He also has two children from his previous relationships, Isan Elba (born 2002) with his first wife and Winston (born 2014) with ex-girlfriend Naiyana Garth.

Dhowre emerged in the 2014 Miss Vancouver as a strong contestant. She was crowned Miss Vancouver the same year which brought her a lot of fame and opportunities. The aspiring actress then modeled for several fashion houses.
