Who is Sayeed Shahidi?

Sayeed Shahidi is a child actor, model by profession, and American by nationality. He is well known for appearances in Switched at Birth, Uncle Buck, and The First Family as the younger brother of actress, and activist Yara Shahidi, and cousin of rapper Nas.

Sayeed Shahidi – Age, Parents, Siblings

Sayeed Shahidi’s birth took place on February 14, 2003, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA. He was born to his mother Keri Salter Shahidi of African-American, Native Choctaw descent, and his father Afshin Shahidi of Iranian-American descent. 

He is not the only child of his parents and has two siblings- an older sister Yara Shahidi, an actress, and model activist, and a younger brother Eshan Shahidi. Sayeed Shahidi was raised in St. Paul, Minnesota for the first two years of his life before moving to Glendale, California.

Moreover, Sayeed Shahidi is the cousin of American rapper Nas. His maternal great-grandparents Ella Mae and Charles Rufus Jones were the maternal grandparents of Nas.

He graduated from high school in November 2019 but the name of the school has not been shared with the public.

His ethnicity includes African-American, Native Choctaw, and Iranian.

Sayeed Shahidi – Girlfriend, Relationship

Sayeed Shahidi has been dating fellow actress Storm Reid, who is also a child actress known for starring in A Wrinkle in Time (2018) as Meg Murry and in Euphoria as Gia.

He took his girlfriend on a prom date in November 2018, which was widely shared on his social media pages. The couple reportedly broke up in late 2020 with Shahidi's mom and sister unfollowing Storm on Instagram.

Sayeed Shahidi – Career

Early Days

Sayeed Shahidi started his career at the age of 7, having started appearing in commercials with his mother at the age of 6 months. He was cast in the TV series The Event as David Martinez followed by a guest appearance in 2011’s episode of Desperate Housewives. 

Eventually, Shahidi landed the role of Lucas Johnson in the TV series The First Family (2012-2013).

Films, Series

In films, Shahidi has portrayed roles in films Alex Cross (2012) as Damon Cross and in Donald Trump's The Art of the Deal: The Movie  (2016) as Kid 3, Unthinkable (2010), Intelligence (2014), etc.

Since then the young talent has had guest appearances in Black-ish (2016) as Adonis Culpepper, in Uncle Buck  (2016) as Miles Russell, and in Switched at Birth (2016-2017) as Will Bishop.

Sayeed Shahidi’s fellow Uncle Buck cast includes Macaulay Culkin, Jay Underwood, and Jean Louisa Kelly.
