Scott Bakula’s birth took place on October 9, 1954, in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. Born Scott Stewart Bakula, his parents are Sally (née Zumwinkel) and J. Stewart Bakula, a lawyer. He was raised along with his two siblings- a younger sister named Linda and a younger brother, Brad Bakula.
Born into a family of musicians, Scott Bakula too ventured into that field. In the fourth grade, young Bakula started a rock band, writing songs for them. He later had the chance to sing with the St. Louis Symphony.

For education, he studied at Kirkwood High School, graduating from the same in 1973. He later attended the University of Kansas where he studied Law and business but dropped out after a sophomore year to pursue a career in acting.

Scott Bakula was married to actress Krista Neumann. The couple tied the knot in 1981 and have two children together named Chelsy Bakula (born 1984) and Cody Bakula, who is adopted (born 1991). After more than 14 years of marriage, he and his now ex-wife divorced.
Bakula married for the second time in 2009 to actress Chelsea Field. From this marriage too, he has two children, both sons. Their first child Wil Bakula was born in 1995 while their son Owen Bakula was born in 1999.

Scott Bakula – Career
Move to New York
In 1976, Scott Bakula moved to New York City where he landed a Broadway debut portraying Joe DiMaggio in Marilyn: An American Fable followed by Three Guys Naked from the Waist Down and Nightclub Confidential.
Scott Bakula soon moved to New York and was cast in the series Gung Ho and Eisenhower & Lutz but was short-lived. He starred alongside Dean Stockwell in Quantum Leap (1989-1993), which is considered his breakthrough role and earned him a Golden Globe Award and four Emmy Award nominations.

Since then he has portrayed roles in Murphy Brown (1993-1996), Mr. & Mrs. Smith (1996-1997), The New Adventures of Old Christine (2006-2010), Chuck (2009-2010), Men of a Certain Age (2009-2011), Looking (2014), NCIS: New Orleans (2014-present).
Scott Bakula has acted in films as well. These include Major League: Back to the Minors, Life as a House, Geography Club, Enter the Dangerous Mind, Me Him Her, Basmati Blues, Star Trek: Enterprise, and Behind the Candelabra, among many others. Currently, his salary is $120 Thousand Per Episode.
