This was followed by roles in the TV series Coronation Street (1996), Spoons (2005), Blunder (2006), etc, and in the films Fat Slags (2004), The Mighty Boosh (2004-2007), Clatterford (2006-2009), Strutter (2007), Angelo's (2007), among others.

Finally, in 2009, he was cast in the TV series Horrible Histories. He portrayed various characters, including Death and William the Conqueror, in 50 episodes of the series, from 2009 to 2015, and is considered her breakthrough in his career.
