Rhodri’s debut screen role was as Hunky in the 1997 film Twin Town. This was followed by minor roles in the TV series A Mind to Kill (1997), The Bench (2001), Wire in the Blood (2005), Heartbeat (2007), Belonging (2008), and in the films Solomon & Gaenor (1999), Ali G Indahouse (2002), etc.

Finally, in 2007, Steffan Rhodri was cast as the recurring character Dave Coaches in the TV series Gavin & Stacey. He portrayed the character for a total of 11 episodes, until 2010, and is considered his breakthrough work.
