Thomas Thibodeau – Career

While at  Salem State University he served as captain during the 1980-81 season. After graduation, Thomas Thibodeau worked as an assistant coach in Salem State from 1981 to 1984 and as head coach from 1984 to 1985.

Thomas Thibodeau then served as an assistant coach in Harvard from 1985 to 1989. He entered NBA in 1989 as an assistant coach for Minnesota Timberwolves. Since then he has worked as an assistant coach for San Antonio Spurs (1992 – 1994), Philadelphia 76ers (1994 – 1996), New York Knicks (1996 – 2004), Houston Rockets (2004–2007) and as an associate head coach for Boston Celtics (2007 – 2010).

In 2010 Thomas Thibodeau was selected as head coach of Chicago Bulls and worked for the team until 2015. He returned to Minnesota Timberwolves as head coach in 2016, working with the team until 2019.
