Actor and fitness model Alec Musser dead at 50
Alec Musser, well known for starring in All My Children, passed away on Friday evening. He was 50.
His fiancée, Paige Press, told TMZ The soap opera actor died at his home in Del Mar, California. The late star’s uncle Robert also confirmed the news.
However, the cause of Musser’s death has not been revealed.
The New York native, who grew up in New Jersey and Connecticut, also worked as a bodybuilder and fitness model. He has appeared on the cover of magazines such as Men’s Health, Men’s Workout, Exercise Health, Cosmopolitan, and GQ, among others.
Musser was a bodybuilder and had a great physique.
Before fame, he worked on a professional ski patrol and lifeguard. He was approached by a modeling agent during his third season as a lifeguard.
Musser then began working as a model – having traveled to Paris, Greece, South Africa, Australia, and Hawaii.
Musser’s breakthrough in Hollywood came in the mid-2000s. After winning the reality TV contest I Wanna Be a Soap Star, he was cast as Del Henry in the TV series All My Children.
He portrayed the character for a total of 43 episodes, from 2005 to 2007.
The actor also had roles in the films Road to the Altar, Grown Ups, and in episodes of the TV series Rita Rocks and Desperate Housewives.
Since his last acting role was in 2011, he had not been in a filming set for a while. Meanwhile, he has a strong presence on social media – often posting about his work, health and fitness journey as well as his personal life.
His last post on social media was on January 9, 2024, and featured a picture of himself surfing on a hoverboard.
“Silhouette by Baja Winter twilight,” he captioned the post.
The news of his sudden death inspired his fans to share his condolences.
“I’m in shock brother. You were a dear friend and will always be remembered. Enjoy those perfect heavenly waves and powder runs,” one follower wrote.
