Actress Annie Wersching dead at 45 from cancer

Annie Wersching, best known for starring in the action drama series 24 as FBI agent Renee Walker, has died. She was 45.

The actress passed away Sunday morning in Los Angeles. Her reps informed her that she had been battling cancer.

Wersching’s husband Stephen Full also shared the news with Deadline.

“There is a cavernous hole in the soul of this family today. But she left us the tools to fill it. She found wonder in the simplest moment. She didn’t require music to dance. She taught us not to wait for adventure to find you. ‘Go find it. It’s everywhere.’ And find it we shall,” the statement read.

He continued, “As I drove our boys, the true loves of her life, down the winding driveway and street, she would yell BYE! until we were out of earshot and into the world. I can still hear it ringing. Bye my Buddie. ‘I love you little family…’”

Wersching was diagnosed with cancer in 2020 but the type of cancer she faced is yet to be specified by her family.

In addition to 24, the late actress also appeared in TV shows including Timeless, Runaways, The Rookie, Bosch, The Vampire Diaries, and Star Trek: Picard.

Annie Wersching is survived by her 53-year-old husband Stephen Full and their three children- boys Freddie, 12, Ozzie, 9, and Archie, 4.
