Alec Baldwin, pregnant wife Hilaria on why they have so many children

Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria Baldwin have a large family and are preparing to add another member in a couple of months.

The 64-year-old wrote alongside an Instagram video, “People comment about how many children we have and ask why. This is why. The thing in this life that matters most to me are these people.”

The video showed his 1-year-old toddlers Eduardo and Lucia in matching puppy pajamas sucking from milk bottles while pregnant Hilaria guides them to sit- all the while a melodic piano soundtrack plays.

Hilaria Baldwin, 38, too took to Instagram to post the same video as she wrote, “Some kids want to be superheroes and royals, my babies want to be puppies…as they are animal super fans. They dressed up last night…see again that he always gives her the bottle first? So sweet.”

She continued to speak of her toddlers, “Oh, and they have finished all the breast milk that I pumped…finished nursing them towards the end of my first trimester of this baby. I give them hemp milk before bed and siesta.”

The couple is already parents to Carmen, 8, Rafael, 7, Leonardo, 5, Romeo, 4, and twins Eduardo and Lucia, 1 while Alec has 26-year-old daughter Ireland Baldwin with ex-wife Kim Basinger.

Hilaria announced her latest pregnancy in March 2022 via Instagram, “After many ups and downs over the past few years, we have an exciting up and a huge surprise: another Baldwinito is coming this fall. We were pretty sure our family was complete, and we’re beyond happy with this surprise. I’m sharing with you the moment we told the kids—as you can see, they are super excited! Our new baby is a very bright spot in our lives. A blessing and a gift during such uncertain times.”

Just a month later in April, the soon-to-be mom explained on Instagram, “People ask why. This is why. Being a parent is the ultimate journey.”

The famous actor married the former yoga instructor in June 2012.- 10 years after his divorce from his first wife Kim Basinger who is a former model and an Oscar-nominated actress.
