Ansel Elgort’s girlfriend Violetta Komyshan confirms breakup after almost a decade together

Ansel Elgort has split up from his high school girlfriend Violetta Komyshan.

The 26-year-old professional ballerina shared that she was single- confirming their breakup- but did not reveal when they had broken up.

In told E! News, Komyshan said she is currently single while attending the new “Thierry Mugler: Couturissime” exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum.

She described her single life as “fun” and when asked advised other single women, “Focus on your work and your passions. I'm 26, so right now is the age to push ahead and focus on that—on yourself."

Ansel Elgort and Violetta Komyshan dated for almost a decade, after meeting at LaGuardia High School in New York City in 2012.

Fans first noticed Elgort and Komyshan had problems in their relationship in September 2021 after she deleted all pictures of the Fault in Our Stars actor on her Instagram page. Sources close to the pair had said that their relationship was “complicated.”

The former couple made their last red carpet-appearance together in November 2021 during the premiere of the film West Side Story. They also celebrated Komyshan’s birthday together in January 2022.

Since being accused of sexual misconduct in 2020, which he denied in June, the Baby Driver star has mostly stayed out of the public eye. However, in August 2022, he was spotted locking lips with a mystery woman on an Italian beach. Moreover, the actor was also pictured grabbing the butt of his lover before taking a dip in the water where they shared a passionate kiss.
