Kate Chastain, best known for appearing in the reality TV show Below Deck, has welcomed her first baby – and she showed off her son on Instagram.

Introducing her newborn, the 40-year-old captain wrote, “Hard Launch: Sullivan Cay.”

The announcement comes just five months after Chastain revealed her pregnancy on social media while keeping the identity of the soon-to-be father a secret.

“I’m already planning so many birthday theme parties for you,” she wrote in December 2022 as she showed her growing baby bump.

In an interview with People, Chastain revealed that her due date was on May 8, 2023, and added that she couldn’t hide her budding belly “any longer.”

She continued, “I am absolutely thrilled to become a mother. It’s something I’ve always hoped for so this is truly a dream come true!”

It is unclear if she is dating anyone.

In a December 2022 interview on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, she shared her plans to raise her child “solo and perhaps with some help.” She also added, “I’m happy to do it alone. I think being a chief stew really trained me for it.”

She had previously dated chef Ben Robinson and former professional soccer player Ro Hernandez who were filmed on the show.

Although Kate Chastain currently stars on Below Deck Galley Talk and on Bravo’s Chat Room, she is famed for her role on Below Deck where she was a chief stewardess from season 2 to season 7.
