Ben Affleck was pictured without his wedding ring - which has fueled the rumors that he and his wife Jennifer Lopez are headed for divorce.

According to TMZ, the Gone Girl actor was pulling up to attend his child’s recital when cameras caught him without his wedding band on as he lifted his left hand to move the sun visor in his car.

Rumors began earlier this week that Affleck, 51, and Lopez, 54, are separating after just two years of marriage.

This is the first time, in this marriage, he has been seen without the signature jewelry.

Just last Thursday, May 2, 2024, the actor was seen picking up the songstress and her teenage daughter Emme. Both of the married pair had their wedding rings on at the time.

Neither Affleck nor Lopez has revealed what transpired between them within 24 hours. They have yet to address divorce rumors as well.

However, the Selena actress was pictured wearing a ring on Friday but it remains unclear if it was her matrimonial ring.

The divorce rumor was also fueled after reports claimed that The Batman actor is shopping around for a new home in Los Angeles.

Reports also claimed that Affleck moved out a few weeks ago. He has been living at a rental house in Brentwood, California, and not at the $60 million marital home he bought with Lopez last year.

Like her husband, Lopez too has been house-hunting. However, an insider claimed that she was just looking for an investment in real estate.

The Gone Girl failed to attend the Met Gala 2024 while his wife served as one of the ball’s co-chairs.

Meanwhile, other sources have backed the divorce rumors.

A source close to the couple claimed, “Jen and Ben are having issues in their marriage. They started having issues a few months ago as Jen had started ramping up work commitments and prepping for her tour.”

Both seem to be ramping up their career.

Lopez is set to go on her “This Is Me…Live | The Greatest Hits” tour in June 2024 after failing to sell tickets in some cities in the United States.

Affleck is set to start the production of the movie Accountant 2.

The couple married in Las Vegas and held a formal wedding in Georgia in 2022. 

Speaking about getting back together, Affleck said in Lopez’s “The Greatest Love Story Never Told” documentary, “When Jen and I broke up before, the catalyst for that was the amount of scrutiny around our private life. I had a very firm sense of boundaries, initially, around the press. Getting back together, I said, ‘Listen, one of the things I don’t want is a relationship on social media.’ And then I sort of realized it’s not a fair thing to ask. It’s sort of like you’re gonna marry a boat captain and [say] like, ‘Well, I don’t like the water.’”

“We’re just two people with different approaches, trying to learn to compromise,” he explained at the time.

They were engaged decades ago and were together from mid-2002 to early 2004.

Jennifer Lopez went on to marry singer Marc Anthony and welcomed fraternal twins, a boy and a girl in February 2008. They were married from June 2004 to 2014.

Ben Affleck was married to actress Jennifer Garner from 2005 to 2018. They share three children together - Violet Anne Affleck, Fin Affleck, and Samuel Garner Affleck.
