Bobbie Jean Carter was found unresponsive in her bathroom the day she died.
Her brother American singer and rapper Aaron Carter also passed away under similar circumstances on November 5, 2022.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the first responders were dispatched to Bobbie Jean’s home in Tampa, Florida Saturday morning.
After discovering her lifeless body, she was rushed to St. Joseph’s Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The investigators did not find any narcotics or paraphernalia in the deceased’s bathroom or bedroom.
Bobbie Jean, 41, was on probation after she was arrested in June for retail theft and drug possession – she was arrested with a container of fentanyl.
Although foul play has not been suspected in her death, the cause of her death is still under investigation.

Jane Carter, the mother of Bobbie Jean announced the death of her daughter with a heartbreaking statement.
“I am in shock from learning of the sudden death of my daughter, Bobbie Jean, and I will need time to process the terrible reality of this happening for the third time. When I am able to think clearly, I’ll release a fuller statement. but until then, I would request to be left to grieve in private.”
She added, “However deeply a parent feels the loss of a child, the suffering of a young child at the loss of a parent must be much greater.”
Jane also asked for prayers for her “precious 8-year-old granddaughter, Bella, who previously lost her father and is now also left without her mother.”
Jane has also lost two other children - son Aaron and daughter Leslie Carter.
Aaron Carter died in November 2022 and was found dead in his bathtub in his Lancaster, California home. He was 34.
According to official reports, he died from drowning and the effects of difluoroethane, a flammable gas, and alprazolam, a generic form of Xanax.
Leslie Carter passed away at the age of 25 in January 2023. The cause of her death was ruled to be a drug overdose.
