Brown Jr. is the son of singer Bobby Brown and his then-girlfriend, Kim Ward. The pair, who were childhood friends, also have a daughter - La’Princia Brown.

The tragic news comes just six years after his half-sister Bobbi Kristina Brown, died of drowning and drug intoxication. Bobbi Kristina, the daughter of Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston, was found unresponsive in a bathtub in her Atlanta home in January 2015. She was then placed in a medically-induced coma for several months before passing away in July 2015 at the age of 22.

Houston too died at the age of 48 in February 2012 due to coronary artery disease, cocaine intoxication, and drowning.

In response to his sister’s drowning, the aspiring musician took to social media to speak about the matter. While lamenting her death, he also directly spoke of those who had recently followed him after her passing.

"People really don't give a f— about you unless your relevant, and they don't love you till your famous or gone. I don't want these follows. This is real life for me, this is my life, my sister. Not a f—ing trending topic." He added, "People wanna be able to say they feel my pain. But nah. You f—ing don't, you have no idea. You haven't been thru half of it."
