Cardi B not allowing divorce from Offset to lessen birthday plans

Last Modified: 9th Sep

Cardi B isn’t allowing her divorce from rapper Offset to dampen her birthday plans.

The WAP rapper will be turning 28 next month and is in party-planning mode. On social media, she shared that she’s concerned venues will be closed, but may “chill” in Miami or the Dominican Republic.

Workwise she is currently promoting a new music video for Me Gusta.

This week, mid-September, tabloids reported that Cardi B has filed for divorce from her husband of three years, Offset in Fulton County, Georgia, on Tuesday. They share a 2-year-old daughter Kulture. The pair had secretly wed on Sept. 20, 2017, and only confirmed their nuptials a year later when she was pregnant with her baby girl.

Their relationship has been tumultuous with Cardi B publicly calling out Offset for cheating on her while they were married. Although she decided to stay with him and work things out, she did acknowledge that a lot of people were mad and disappointed with her.

“But it’s real-life s–t. If you love somebody and you stop being with them, and you’re depressed and social media is telling you not to talk to that person because he cheated, you’re not really happy on the inside until you have the conversation,” she had said.

However this time it seems Cardi B has decided to move on from her estranged husband. Rumors were that she had filed for divorce because her estranged husband is expecting a baby with another woman. But the rumors were deemed false.

“There is no other child. No baby is on the way. That rumor is super false. Cardi is thinking of her child and wants everything to be amicable. She’s evolved over the years and continues to,” the insider said.

The source added “She went back to have the petition amended because she wasn’t aware that it read ‘primary custody.’ She wants them both to have custody and to co-parent. She’s not requesting spousal support or child support. She wants everything to be super amicable.”
