TMZ reported that Longo’s body was discovered in bed at a residence in Austin, Texas on February 8, 2023. The outlet also claimed that his wife Stephanie Longo, who is a professional dancer/choreographer, was working at a local dance studio that day when her husband stopped responding to calls and messages.

She reportedly called the police officers to go check on him after feeling uneasy about being unable to reach Longo.

After the cops reached the couple’s home and knocked, no one answered. So, the officers kicked down the door.

He was later found dead in a bedroom.

Cody Longo’s family member told the media that he had struggled with alcohol abuse for years and went to rehab in the summer of 2022. Stephanie shared with TMZ that her late husband had been working hard on himself to fight for their three children – a daughter aged 7 and two sons aged 5 and 1.

Although an official cause of death has not been revealed, Longo’s loved ones suspect a possible relapse may have contributed to his death.

“He was an amazing father and the best husband. Our whole world is shattered,” Stephanie added.

The late actor is well known for his appearance in Bring It On: Fight to the Finish, Nashville, Hollywood Heights.
