In 2003, Brian Peck was arrested on charges of oral copulation of a person under 16 and a lewd act against a child.

A year later, Peck, now 63, was convicted of sexually abusing a Nickelodeon child actor and sentenced to 16 months in jail. The identity of the child actor has not been yet shared with the public.

Bell, who went on to star in Drake & Josh from 2004 to 2007, was reportedly the minor in this case.

Boy Meets World alum Will Friedle recently spoke out about how he was groomed by Peck.

“I didn’t really go to parties. I didn’t really do that stuff. But I was working a lot after ‘Boy Meets World,’ and this guy had so ingratiated himself into my life, I took him to three shows after ‘Boy Meets World,” he said.

He shared in an episode of Pod Meets World, “This was the type of thing where the person he presented was this great, funny guy who was really good at his job, and you wanted to hang out with … I saw him every day, hung out with him every day, talked to him every day.”

Friedle’s co-star Rider Strong also shared that he too hung out with Peck “all the time” despite their 20-year age gap.

However, when Peck was accused of sexual abuse in 2003, both agreed to support him in court.

Friedle shared, “We’re sitting in that courtroom on the wrong side of everything. The victim’s mother turned and said, ‘Look at all the famous people you brought with you. And it doesn’t change what you did to my kid.’ I just sat there wanting to die.”

“There’s an actual victim here. And he turned us against the victim to where now we’re on his team. That’s the thing where, to me, I look back at that as my ever-loving shame for this entire [thing],” the Kim Possible alum shared.

It remains unclear why Bell has come forward following decades of anonymity.
