Dylan Sprouse, Barbara Palvin engaged after 5 years of dating

Dylan Sprouse is now an engaged man!

The actor reportedly proposed to his girlfriend of five years Barbara Palvin.

A source close to Entertainment Tonight reported, “Dylan and Barbara are engaged. They have been showing off her ring to people and are so happy.”

“They’re always very in love with one another and by each other’s sides, but they’re even happier than usual. They can’t wait to start this new chapter together,” the insider added.

The news of the engagement was sparked in early March when the former Victoria’s Secret Angel wore a diamond ring on that finger while attending the Mammoth Film festival.

The 29-year-old model was spotted without the jewelry while walking the red carpet but was pictured with the noticeable piece later in the night.

The couple started dating after Sprouse, 30, slid into her DMs in 2018. She, however, did not respond to his message for nearly six months.

While in an interview with W Magazine, the American actor recalled how he pursued her.

“I was like, ‘Hey, I don’t know if you’re in New York for very long, but we should hang out if you want to. Here’s my number,” the Disney alum had said.

The model replied that she waited to respond, explaining “I took my time. I knew I wasn’t in a good mindset at the time, and maybe deep inside I knew that it could be something more.”

However, the pair revealed that they only realized they were serious about each other while quarantining together during the COVID-19 pandemic.

He told ET in 2020, “What we’ve come out noticing is that we’re super compatible. It’s like we know when to give each other space. We know when the other needs space. We’ve already divided labor around the house in certain ways … I think our relationship …is stronger than ever.”
