Erin Foster, Simon Tikhman welcomes first child - homebirth ‘like a beast’

Erin Foster, the daughter of David Foster, just welcomed her first child with her husband Simon Tikhman.

The composer’s daughter shared the exciting news on Instagram on Sunday.

Besides a series of black and white home birth pictures, she captioned, “Truly the most insane experience of my life, with the best ending. Noa Mimi Tikhman being nothing like her mother who is always late, arrived two weeks early at 4:41 am on May 17th.”

While giving birth to daughter Noah, the new mom was accompanied by Tikhman as they drank some refreshments.

She continued, “Being totally unbiased I would say she’s perfect and super advanced already and might be the first person I’ve met who prefers me to Simon. Gave birth to her au naturale in our bed like a beast, but also would have taken heroine in the moment if someone offered. Simon would like everyone to know he’s a warrior too.”

The 41-year-old debuted her baby bump in November 2023 on Instagram.

“It feels like we need something positive right now, so I’d like to offer something. I’m pregnant!,” the Barely Famous co-creator wrote at the time.

Since the announcement, Foster has continued to share her pregnancy progress on social media.

This is not the first grandchild of David Foster. He is a grandfather to his five grandchildren through his daughters Allison, 54, and Amy, 50.

Besides his five adult daughters, he also has a toddler - son Rennie whom he welcomed with his fifth wife Katharine McPhee in February 2021.

In a January 2023 interview with Jennifer Hudson Show, McPhee shared her desire to expand her family.

Foster, 74, and McPhee, 40, began dating in 2018 and married in June 2019.
