Ex-royals Prince Harry, Meghan Markle to reunite with royals- first time since ‘Megxit’

Last Modified: 9th Sep

Prince Harry and former Suits actress Meghan Markle will be publicly reuniting with the British royal family this spring for the first time since they gave up their titles in January 2020.

According to The Sunday Times, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expected to attend the Queen’s annual birthday parade, Trooping of the Colour, on June 12. The military parade will mark Queen’s 95th birthday.

This will the first national celebration in the United Kingdom since the pandemic and subsequent lockdowns in early 2020. Last year the queen attended without her family as the parade had been scaled down and moved from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle due to lockdowns.

“The current plan is for the Queen’s birthday parade to go ahead in London as normal, with the acceptance that it may need to be adapted or scaled back depending on what guidelines are in force at the time. But the aspiration and the ultimate desire is to make it happen.” a royal aide revealed to the outlet.

The couple had made their public appearance with the royals at the Westminster Abbey Commonwealth service on March 9 following their exit from their royal duties and titles. Since then the Sussexes have relocated to Montecito, California with their son Archie and have maintained firm privacy.
