Harry Styles, Taylor Russell split after a year of dating

Harry Styles and his girlfriend Taylor Russell have broken up after a year of dating.

The Sun reported the news, “Harry and Taylor have ended their relationship. They went through a rough patch after their trip to Japan and are taking some time apart.”

The source continued, “He’s been in America and she’s been in London. They made a lovely couple and it was obvious Taylor made Harry happy. Things have become strained recently though and they’ve taken some time out.”

The news comes just two weeks after the actress attended the Met Gala 2024 in New York without the former One Direction member.

The former couple was first seen linked in March 2023. 

However, Styles, 30, and Russell, 29, went public with their relationship in July 2023. She was spotted in the VIP section at Harry’s Love On Tour gigs in Vienna, Austria which fueled rumors that the pair were dating.

The Watermelon singer has also been supportive of Taylor’s career when she performed in The Effect at the National Theatre.

A source close to the couple said at the time, “Harry stayed by Taylor’s side the whole time. He introduced her to James [Corden] and was whispering to her and laughing and smiling.”

Throughout their relationship, Styles and Russell had continued to show PDA.

The pair were pictured holding hands in September, getting cozy at a U2 concert in November, and a late-night bike ride in February.

Although they were not the ones to publicly talk about their relationship, the Canadian star said in a March 2024 interview with Vanity Fair, “My concern and my focus is going to be on the work. My work is the most interesting thing to me, so that’s what I’ll say about that. There are going to be things all the time around you that feel like they’re trying to pull your attention to different places in your life. … You have to find ways in which you can keep yourself really balanced and really safe.”

Since with rise to star more than a decade ago, Styles has dated famously singer Taylor Swift, model Kendall Jenner, director, and actress Olivia Wilde as well as Camille Rowe.
