Hayden Panettiere wore a custom jacket designed by her late brother Jansen – honoring her late brother during his funeral service.

The 33-year-old actress wore the painterly piece while attending a memorial at the Palisades Presbyterian Church in Nyack, New York with her family.

She combined the jacket with black shorts, black pants, and white sneakers.

Last month in February, the Heros star took to Instagram to share pictures of the prototype of the artistic piece.

Hayden Panettiere’s younger brother Jansen Panettiere died suddenly on February 19, 2023.

Jansen, who was a former child actor, worked as an artist and often shared his creations on social media. He also donated a portion of his profits to #WeAreAllUkrainians.

The Panettiere family released a statement revealing the cause of his death as “cardiomegaly (enlarged heart), coupled with aortic valve complications.”

“Though it offers little solace, the Medical Examiner reported Jansen’s sudden passing was due to cardiomegaly (enlarged heart), coupled with aortic valve complications.”

The statement continued, “Jansen’s heart could be seen in his eyes, and his charm in his brilliant, engaging smile; his soul in his masterful and revealing paintings, and the joy of life in his dry wit. His charisma, warmth, compassion for others, and his creative spirit will live forever in our hearts and in the hearts of all whom he encountered.”

The late artist was found unresponsive, sitting upright in a chair, by his friends over Presidents’ Day weekend who had rushed to his residence on February 19 after he had failed to show up for a business meeting. The friends immediately called 911 while administering CPR to revive him.

His father Skip Panettiere told authorities that his son seemed “OK” when they spoke on the night of February 18, 2023.

He is survived by his mother Lesley Vogel, father, Skip Panettiere, and sister Hayden Panettiere.
