Hilaria Baldwin pays tribute to daughter on would have been birth date

Hilaria Baldwin is pregnant with her rainbow baby but is still grieving for the daughter she lost.

The 36-year-old fitness instructor posted an emotional tribute to her daughter she lost due to miscarriage in November.

“Today was your due date and we wanted to meet you so much. I have been afraid of this day to come—but it is here and I will be brave.” Baldwin’s post continued, “You were so loved and you always will be. I think of you every day and I wish so much that our path had been different. Mommy loves you, my sweet girl.” 

Hilaria Baldwin, who married actor Alec Baldwin on June 30, 2012, had been four months pregnant when she miscarried and had previously lost another baby when she was 10 weeks along in April 2019. With her husband, she has four children- daughter Carmen, 6, and sons Romeo, 2, Leonardo, 3, and Rafael, 4.

Alec, 62, also has a 24-year-old daughter, Ireland Baldwin from his marriage to his first wife Kim Basinger. 

Hilaria has been very much open about her current pregnancy and announced that she is halfway through her pregnancy on Instagram.

Through the process of healing she had written an essay for Glamour, “As soon as the sonogram image appeared on the screen, I saw that my baby had died. There was no movement, no heartbeat. She was crumpled up, lifeless in my womb. I began to cry … I can’t remember much except that I got dressed, thanked everyone for their care, and asked for permission to go. I just began walking.” 

She also added that sharing her pain has helped her come to terms with what happened.
