Kaley Cuoco, Karl Cook file for divorce- releases joint statement

Actress Kaley Cuoco and equestrian Karl Cook have separated and filed for divorce after three years of marriage.

The 35-year-old Flight Attendant and The Bang Bang Theory star filed the paperwork in Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday – the same day the former pair released a joint statement.

“Despite a deep love and respect for one another, we have realized that our current paths have taken us in opposite directions. We have both shared so much of our journey publicly so while we would prefer to keep this aspect of our personal life private, we wanted to be forthcoming in our truth together. There is no anger or animosity, quite the contrary,” the statement read.

It continued, “We have made this decision together through an immense amount of respect and consideration for one another and request that you do the same in understanding that we will not be sharing any additional details or commenting further.”

Cuoco’s split from her second husband Cook, 30, comes just over a month after they celebrated their third wedding anniversary.

“Why have you stayed married to me for so long?! I’m sincerely impressed @mrtankcook lol I love you oh so much you have no idea …happy anniversary!!!” Cuoco had written alongside a black-and-white picture of themselves.

Cook too had written on his own social media, “I agree @kaleycuoco I am just as amazed it’s been three years, feel like just a flash. I love you so much and I can’t wait for a million more years!!”

Kaley Cuoco and Karl Cook, son of billionaire Scott Cook had married on June 30, 2018, at a horse stable near San Diego, Calif. They had begun dating in 2016 and had gotten engaged in 2017.

Cuoco was previously married to professional tennis player Ryan Sweeting for just 21 months. They had gotten engaged after three months of dating and married on December 31, 2013, but separated on September 25, 2015- with the divorce being finalized on May 9, 2016.

Kaley Cuoco does not have any children from both marriages.
