Kate Walsh engagement to farmer Andrew Nixon - revealed by accident

Actress Kate Walsh is now engaged!

The Grey’s Anatomy alum accidentally shared the news of her engagement to farmer Andrew Nixon during an Instagram Live on Wednesday.

The 54-year-old was chatting with co-star Amy Brenneman when her boyfriend Nixon walked into the frame to which she immediately said, “Here comes the jungle cat. That is my fiancé.”

As Nixon smiled and waved at the camera, Brenneman, 58, told him, “She just 100 percent outed your engagement.” Walsh then confirmed her new relationship status during the short video, “I did. I just outed our engagement.” Her engagement ring was also visible at the time.

The news of Kate Walsh dating Andrew Nixon first broke in February 2021. They had met on a cruise.

The Umbrella Academy star and her boyfriend have been living together in Perth, Australia. In August 2020, she told the Daily Telegraph that she was “stuck” away from home during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I didn’t really want to go back to New York in the middle of a pandemic when it was pretty gnarly, to say the least. I couldn’t go home initially, and now that I can, I don’t really fancy going back,” she continued. “I have my own mother saying, ‘Don’t come home,’ my 86-year-old mum. … We are in a very challenging time!”

Kate Walsh was previously married to film producer Alex Young from 2007 to 2010. She shared in September 2021 that she is to conceive because of her struggle with infertility.
