Leonardo DiCaprio, Camila Morrone have broken up after 4 years of dating

Leonardo DiCaprio and Camila Morrone have decided to end their relationship.

The 47-year-old actor and the 25-year-old model have been together since late 2017 but were officially linked in January 2018 after being pictured in Aspen, Colorado. The former couple made their official debut in February 2020 after sitting together in the front row at the Oscars.

Moreover, the fashion model who recently debuted as an actress had known the Oscar winner since she was 10 years old as he is a family friend.

It is unclear when they broke up.

The couple faced public backlash for their 23-year age gap. While DiCaprio held his silence on the matter,  Morrone defended their relationship and age gap. She told the Los Angeles Times in December 2019 interview, “There's so many relationships in Hollywood — and in the history of the world — where people have large age gaps. I just think anyone should be able to date who they want to date.”

"I feel like there should always be an identity besides who you're dating. ... I understand the association, but I'm confident that will continue to slip away and be less of a conversation." the daughter of actress Lucila Sola and model Maximo Morrone had added.

Despite the varied public opinion, People reported in July 2019 that the pair seemed “pretty serious.”

“It's definitely not a casual relationship. Camila spends a lot of time at his house. Camila is long known as Leo's girlfriend. And Leo introduced her to both of his parents long ago." the outlet had said at the time.

But the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actor has been known for his choice when it comes to dating- he has made the habit of never dating women over 25. Prior to this, he famously dated much younger personalities including Bar Rafaeli, Blake Lively, and Nina Agdal.
