Lindsay Lohan reveals why she left Hollywood to live in Dubai
Lindsay Lohan shared the key reason for her decision to move to Dubai: stricter laws regarding privacy.
The actress left Hollywood for Dubai more than a decade ago, in 2014.
Lohan, 39, explained she has a very different life from her “It girl” image in Hollywood.

During an appearance on Live with Kelly and Mark, the Mean Girls star said, “It’s just far away from Hollywood, and I live a very normal life. There’s no worry of, like, I can’t go eat at this place ’cause someone’s gonna take a picture of my son. And it’s just, I feel very safe.”
When host Kelly Ripa asked if photographers are present there, she confirmed how strict the city is regarding privacy.
The mom of one replied, “No, it’s not legal. You can’t even take a picture of someone else if you’re at a restaurant. You have to ask the person, which is a big difference from here.” “Yeah, privacy is key,” the Freaky Friday actress added.

She left her life as a “tabloid fixture” of Hollywood in 2014 and moved to Dubai.
By staying away from the spotlight, she was able to live a normal life.
Lindsay Lohan met her husband, financier Bader Shammas, in 2019 at a restaurant in Dubai.
After three years of dating, Shammas popped the question to Lohan in 2021 and eventually married in 2022.
They welcomed their first child, son Luai, in 2023.

Since rising to fame as a teenager, she has had a complicated relationship with fame.
In an interview with Paper magazine in 2028, she confessed, “I could do 99 things right and one thing wrong, but it’s that one thing that will be focused on.”
Lohan continued, “Behind the scenes, I do what I can to be the best version of me, which never gets mentioned. I am also human. I make mistakes. That’s all that seems to get reported.”
However, she is back into acting with the new film Freakier Friday, a sequel to the 2004 film Freaky Friday.
Speaking of returning for the sequel, Lohan said, “It’s very full circle for me. And it was just a really exciting day when we were first there, all together.”
