Lisa Marie Presley to be buried next to son Benjamin Keough
Lisa Marie Presley will be laid to rest next to her son.
Presley’s daughter Riley Keough’s rep confirmed that the late singer “will be at Graceland, next to her beloved son Ben.”
Lisa Marie Presley, who is the only child of the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, actor Elvis Presley and actress Priscilla Presley passed away on January 12, 2023, after suffering a cardiac arrest at her home in Calabasas, California. She was 54.
Paramedics performed CPR, administered epinephrine, and revived her pulse before transporting her to a local hospital in Los Angeles. However, she ultimately passed away at the hospital.
Priscilla Presley, 77, confirmed the news of her daughter’s death.
“It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us. She was the most passionate, strong, and loving woman I have ever known,” she said in the statement.
Lisa Marie, who also followed in her father’s footsteps, had four children herself. With her ex-husband Danny Keough, she welcomed Riley, 33, and Benjamin and from her most recent ex-husband, she gave birth to twins Finley and Harper, now 14.
Benjamin Keough died of suicide in July 2020 at the age of 27.
Heartbroken Lisa Marie paid tribute to her son in October 2020, “My beautiful beautiful angel. I worshipped the ground you walked on, on this earth and now in Heaven. My heart and soul went with you. The depth of the pain is suffocating and bottomless without you every moment of every day. I will never be the same.”
She concluded, “Please wait for me my love, and hold my hand while I stay to continue to protect and raise your little sisters and to be here for Riley. I know you would want that.”
Benjamin, who struggled with addiction, was buried alongside his grandfather Elvis. Now, Lisa Marie Presley will also be buried next to her father and son.
Other members of the Presley family include Elvis’ parents, Gladys and Vernon Presley, and his grandmother, Minnie Mae Presley, which was revealed on the official Facebook account for the music icon.
Lisa Marie’s daughters are set to inherit the iconic Tennessee estate since she was the sole heir of the Graceland.
