Luxembourg’s Princess Alexandra pregnant with her first child

The Royal Family of Luxembourg has some great news to share and celebrate.

The Court of Luxembourg announced that Princess Alexandra, 32, is pregnant with her first child with husband Nicolas Bagory, 35. Their child is expected to be born in the spring of 2024.

The Royal statement read on Instagram, “Their Royal Highnesses the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess are delighted to announce that Princess Alexandra and Mister Nicolas Bagory are expecting their first child. Birth is scheduled for spring. The Grand Duke, the Grand Duchess as well as the members of the two families join in this great happiness.”

Princess Alexandra has earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and a master’s degree in interreligious studies from the Irish School of Ecumenics at Trinity College. She also studied at the University of Steubenville in the USA and completed an internship at the United Nations.

She and Nicolas Bagory married in April 2023 in Luxembourg. They held a religious wedding a week later in Bormes-les-Mimosas, France. Her husband studied political science and the classics.

Princess Alexandra’s parents are Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa. She has four siblings – all brothers.

The newborn will be the eighth grandchild of the Luxembourg royals.
