Mandy Moore welcomes first child with Taylor Goldsmith

Mandy Moore is now a mom!

The actress confirmed on Tuesday that she has welcomed their first child, son August Harrison, with husband Taylor Goldsmith.

“Gus is here,” Moore, 36, wrote on Instagram alongside pictures of her newborn. “Our sweet boy, August Harrison Goldsmith. He was punctual and arrived right on his due date, much to the delight of his parents. We were prepared to fall in love in all sorts of brand new ways, but it goes beyond anything we could have ever imagined.”

She had married Dawes musician Taylor Goldsmith, 35, in 2018 after meeting on Instagram.

The This Is Us star revealed her relationship with People in 2017. “I took a picture of their album and posted it on Instagram. Somehow, Taylor saw it and sent a note to me. We started emailing back and forth, then we went on a date and the rest is history.”

Moore, who rose to fame after starring in the romantic drama A Walk to Remember, was previously married to musician Ryan Adams from 2009 to 2016. She claimed that Adams was emotionally abusive and controlling during their marriage in 2019. He did apologize to the women he allegedly “mistreated” in 2020 via an open letter.

However, Moore expressed that she did “find it curious that someone would do an interview about it (apology) without actually making amends privately.”
