‘Riverdale’ couple Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse break up

Riverdale stars Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse have broken up after nearly a three-year relationship. The former couple recently split and have been quarantining separately during the coronavirus pandemic.

Sprouse, 27, and Reinhart, 23 - who play 23 Jughead and Betty on Riverdale, began dating in 2017. Over the years they had been hit by numerous breakup rumors which they have strongly denied. According to PageSix,

“Cole and Lili split before the pandemic hit, and have been quarantining separately. They remain good friends.” 

The breakup was confirmed after fellow Riverdale actor Skeet Ulrich’s girlfriend Megan Blake Irwin hinted that the co-stars have separated while answering questions on Instagram Live.

To the question, “Do you think that Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart are a cute couple?” Skeet responded, “I think they were a very cute couple.” Irwin then added, “They were a very cute couple. They’re both beautiful people.”

In April, Sprouse had reacted to rumors that he cheated with model Kaia Gerber: “When I first stepped into a public relationship this was one of the foreseeable consequences. And while I truly never intended to indulge any part of my private life to the ravenous horde, it’s clear my restraint in updating them has allowed them to push their own agenda onto my habits and lifestyle.”
