Sarah Hyland, Wells Adams marry after 3-year long engagement

Actress Sarah Hyland and Wells Adams have finally tied the knot.

The Modern Family star and Bachelorette alum married on Saturday in California after three years of engagement. 

The couple had to postpone their wedding day twice.

Hyland’s co-stars also attended the wedding including Sofia Vergara, 50, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, 46, Julie Bowen, 52, and Nolan Gould, 23.

Hyland and Adams first began dating in October 2017.

After almost two years of dating, Adams popped the question in July 2019 to which Hyland agreed.

The couple eventually had planned a wedding got August 2020 but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they had to put their nuptials on hold.

The actress had written on Instagram on what would have been their wedding day, “A couple, a pandemic, & a postponed wedding: A series. We were supposed to get married today. Instead… we took pictures and drank wine. I love you to Pluto & back @wellsadams.”

The bride-to-be finally celebrated her bridal shower back in June.

“Soooooo I finally had my bridal shower yesterday. Hosted by the most amazing maid of honor.” she wrote alongside a picture of a custom clutch that read “Mrs. Adams” in gold lettering. 

However, she did not reveal if she has decided to take her husband’s name.

“My mom didn’t take my father’s last name, so that’s never been a thing for me. I do like being called ‘Mrs. Adams’ when we’re on vacation and stuff, and if the reservation’s under his name, I’m like, ‘Oh my god, I’m so cute.’ But I don’t know. Haven’t decided on it.” she shared with E! News back in June.
