Sean Connery’s cause of death revealed
Legendary actor Sean Connery died of pneumonia, heart problems, and “old age,” says his death certificate.
The 90-year-old James Bond actor died at 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 31 in his home in the Bahamas. According to his death certificate obtained by TMZ, the cause of death was listed as “pneumonia, respiratory failure, old age [and] atrial fibrillation” and his occupation was listed as “retired actor.”
Atrial fibrillation is an irregular heart rate that can increase the risk of blood clots, strokes, and heart failure.
Micheline Roquebrune, Connery’s wife of 45 years, had revealed that he also had a long battle with dementia and “went peacefully.”
The Scottish-born actor played Agent 007 in several James Bond films. He was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in the year 2000.
