Sophie Simmons marries James Henderson

Sophie Simmons, the daughter of Gene Simmons, has married James Henderson – twice.

Sophie Simmons married her fiancé at a Los Angeles courthouse on February 17, 2023.

The couple wed again in a backyard wedding ceremony five days later in front of family and friends – at the bride’s mom Shannon Tweed’s house.

The 30-year-old bride walked down the aisle in a blush Lahav dress while the bridegroom wore a black Tom Ford suit.

She spoke to People magazine, “The view truly can’t be beat, and I love that it is intimate and family-oriented. James and I never wanted a big wedding, so this is the perfect space for us.”

The newly married pair’s wedding reception was attended by 250 guests.

Although it is unclear when Simmons and Henderson began dating, it was confirmed that they got engaged in July 2022. They have been living together for eight years.

She showed off her wedding ring on Instagram soon after the proposal.

However, Simmons’ 73-year-old father Gene, revealed that he did not feel ready for his youngest child to get married.

The Kiss rocker shared in November 2022, “One second she’s just a pair of cheeks with little legs walking around. Next second, she’s a grown woman. But it’s happening. She’s getting married, and he’s a great guy.”

Gene, who is married to 65-year-old Tweed since 2011, said in February, “James is a solid young man, and Sophie can do anything she puts her mind to. “We wish them a lifetime of love and happiness. If they are even half as happy as we are, they will last long.”
