Tish Cyrus, Dominic Purcell are engaged to be married

Tish Cyrus, the mother of Miley Cyrus, is engaged to actor Dominic Purcell. The Prison Break star popped the question in Malibu, California over the weekend.

Tish, 55, took to Instagram to announce her engagement to Purcell, 53, alongside a couple of loved-up pictures.

“A thousand times…. YES,” the American manager wrote alongside the pics.

The couple went Instagram official in November 2022 and since has not been coy about showcasing their love in public and on social media.

Since then there have been reports that Tish and Purcell were getting serious quickly.

A source told Us Weekly at the time, “Things couldn’t be going better for Tish and Dominic. [Tish] truly feels like she found her soulmate.”

The news comes shortly after Tish’s ex-husband Billy Ray Cyrus became official with Australian singer Firerose – the couple who confirmed their engagement in November 2022.

However, it was also reported that the 61-year-old country singer did not give his fiancée a ring or formal proposal.

Firerose, who is in her mid-20s and younger than her future daughter-in-law Miley Cyrus, recalled to People at the time, “Billy looked at me and said, ‘Do you, do you wanna marry me?’ He said, ‘I love you. I wanna make this official. I wanna be with you forever.’”

Tish filed for divorce from Billy Ray Cyrus for the third time in April 2022 after 28 years of marriage. 

The couple are parents to Miley, 30, Braison, 28, and Noah, 23. From her relationship with Baxter Neal Helson, Tish is also a mother to Brandi, 35, and Trace, 34, who were both adopted by Billy. From his previous relationship with ex-girlfriend Kristin Luckey, Billy also has a 31-year-old son named Christopher Cody Cyrus.

Purcell was previously married to Rebecca Williamson and shared four children with her - Joseph, 23, Audrey, 22, and 19-year-old twins Lily-Rose and Augustus.
